The Battle of Khe Sanh, a critical episode during the Vietnam War, unfolded from January to April 1968 as U.S. Marines and allied forces defended the Khe Sanh Combat Base against a prolonged siege by North Vietnamese troops. Situated near the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), the base became a focal point of intense conflict, marked by heavy artillery bombardments, ground assaults, and aerial engagements.
