The Groups of Regulares belong to the Spanish military forces, created from 1911 in Africa, with Spanish and indigenous personnel, whose organization was formed with a Tabor (name given to a battalion in Regulares) of infantry made up of four companies, plus a cavalry squadron that was expanded the following year, to two Infantry Tabors plus one Cavalry Tabor. The regulars were one of the shock forces of the Spanish army in the African campaigns (1911-27), also used by the second Spanish Republic in the Asturian Revolution of 1934 and used by the Francoist army during the Spanish civil war
