What is Magic Sculpt?

It's an epoxy putty acclaimed by both hobbyists and professionals, and holds a prominent place in the arts, crafts, and DIY repair world. With its unique blend of versatility, ease of use, and excellent performance, it provides a transformative experience for those who work with it.

Working with Magic Sculpt Putty

The ratio of resin to hardener can be adjusted to the specific needs of your project. By increasing the amount of resin relative to hardener, you can achieve a softer putty. This type of mix is perfect for creating more elaborate and delicate features, such as the texture of clothing or muscle definition in sculptures.

Combining it with other epoxy putties can achieve different results, and on its own, it has a texture and finish similar to the mix of Green Putty + Milliput.

It is adhesive while soft, has little elasticity, and offers a longer drying time than other epoxy putties. If we mix it by adding twice as much resin as hardener, we get a softer putty, suitable for more intricate details such as clothing and muscles.

When working with it, we must always keep our tools moist, preferably with water, liquid petroleum jelly, or alcohol. Silicone-tipped brushes or color shapers are highly recommended for smoothing. The longer we let it dry, the harder and more consistent it will be for sanding and/or creating reliefs.

Appropriate working techniques and tools

Proper handling of this epoxy putty is the cornerstone of achieving optimal results. It is vital to keep tools moist with water, liquid petroleum jelly, or alcohol while working with the putty. This method prevents it from sticking to sculpting tools and helps achieve a smoother application. Brushes equipped with silicone tips or color shapers are especially recommended for achieving a polished finish.
